Yes, you are the owner of the domain name you have bought, provided you pay for it every year.
The owner is the entity described in the forms during the registration.
It is not necessary the payer.
The owner of a domain name appears in whois in front of tags owner_address.

A domain name not renewed at expiration date will be shortly after destroyed.
If you want to destroy one of your domains, you need to download the following
document (you need Acrobat Reader, available on http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html) :

at any time and as often as you would like.
as an option (without any additional costs), we offer:
- web forwarding to any website you choose and 5 email forwardings and a catchall (per domain)
to adresses of your choice
- or, secondary nameserver service
- or, custom DNS service

You can change any parameters simply by accessing our website, at any time, at no extra cost:
- list of nameservers of your domain name
- contacts (people who can make changes to your domain name)
- information concerning these contacts
- eventually, parameters of your Web and email forwardings (if you use our redirection services)
- eventually, content of your zone (if you use our customized DNS service)
You can NOT change the domain name itself. To change the domain name, you will need to buy another one.
Also, you can not change the owner's name nor country. Please see Modifications section for details.

To do that you will have to find another provider to handle your DNS.

You need the following:
a domain name : this is provided by Gandi. You are the owner of the domain name.
a DNS hosting : this can be provided by Gandi at no extra cost, or by any other provider you may choose
a web hosting : this is not provided by Gandi, you will need to find a provider.

Gandi is a registrar. We only register domain names.
As an option and without any additional costs we may host your DNS (see our DNS section for details).
We do not host neither your web pages nor your e-mail accounts. Ask your provider or any
other provider you may choose. To make things easier we can provide you - as an option and free
of charge - with forwarding either to your current web pages or to your e-mail account.
Whenever you want you may activate, deactivate or change these forwardings without any
additional costs.

You may choose a hosting company. Discuss this matter with them : they might need to manage
your domain DNS. Your domain will not leave Gandi but your domain DNS management will no
longer be handled by Gandi. Specifically, you will always need to renew your domain name with Gandi.
After you have reached an agreement with your hosting company you can change it yourself.
Gandi does not need to interfere.

It is the minimum period of time between the registration of a domain name at a registrar and the
time you can leave the registrar for another ICANN-accredited registrar. The 60-day period is
mentioned in any Registration Agreement whatever the registrar.
However you can change any parameters whenever you want as soon as your domain is registered.
You can even transfer the DNS to any ISP you may choose.
